He spent his childhood in Assam before joining The Lawrence School, Sanawar, Himachal Pradesh, where he completed his Senior Cambridge education. He later studied English Literature at Ramjas College under the University of Delhi and earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees. After completing his education, he briefly worked as a lecturer before dedicating himself to writing and journalism.
