Natural Beauty and Local Significance
The waterfall lies near Borjhar village, approximately 2 km before Ukiam when travelling from the Chhaygaon side. The surrounding area is also associated with a local Triveni Sangam, where the Ghaga, Sri and Drona rivers are said to converge. The forest setting and rugged landscape make this area attractive for nature walks and outdoor exploration.
Best Time to Visit
October to April is generally suitable for visiting, as conditions are often more comfortable for walking and exploring the rocky surroundings. Trails may become slippery during and after heavy rainfall, so check local conditions before setting out.
How to Reach Landu Khagri Waterfall
From Guwahati, travel along NH-37 towards Chhaygaon, then continue towards Borjhar village and Ukiam. From Borjhar, the waterfall is reached via a rural forest track of approximately 5 km. The final approach may involve uneven terrain, so sturdy footwear and careful navigation are important. A private car or motorcycle is generally more practical than public transport for reaching the area.
Mobile connectivity may be unreliable near the forest and border region. Download offline maps, carry drinking water and snacks, and keep some cash for local expenses. If the trail is unfamiliar, ask residents in Borjhar for directions or arrange local guidance before proceeding.
