Natural Beauty and Nearby Attractions
Surrounded by greenery, Jimirigaon Waterfall becomes particularly appealing during the rainy season, when increased rainfall brings more water over the rocks. Its straightforward roadside access makes it suitable for a short visit, photography and a relaxing break while exploring the countryside.
The surrounding Jimirigaon area is also known for its orange orchards, which add seasonal charm to the landscape. Visitors can combine a trip to the waterfall with Chandubi Lake or explore nearby natural attractions such as Umsur Waterfall and Ram Teng Waterfall.
Best Time to Visit
The monsoon season, generally from June to September, offers the best chance of seeing the waterfall with a stronger flow. However, wet roads and slippery surfaces require extra care during heavy rain. Check local weather and road conditions before travelling.
How to Reach Jimirigaon Waterfall
The waterfall is approximately 40-70 km from Guwahati, depending on the route, and usually takes around 1.5-2.5 hours by road. From Guwahati, travel towards Rani and the Chandubi or Barihat area, then follow local roads towards Jimirigaon. A private car, taxi or two-wheeler is a practical option, as some rural approach roads may be uneven. The main waterfall can generally be reached without an extensive hike, making it an accessible stop on a nature-focused trip.
