It is a place of attraction for nature lovers and other visitors. This beautiful and serene waterfall is one of the amazing tourist attractions in the district of Nagaon. The waterfall adds to the beauty of the already picturesque landscape of the state and makes it one of the most amazing places to visit. Champawati Kunda is located 16 km to the east of the Nagaon district.

Located near Chapanala on the foothills of the Karbi Anglong region, the waterfall is easily accessible yet remains largely untouched by commercial tourism, making it a serene destination for weekend escapes, trekking, nature photography, and picnics.

Chapanala waterfall is a lovely place to visit for weekends and daytime leisure activities. The waterfall and Tea Gardens around and birds and different species of breeds are lovely to watch. This place is 1hour (approx) from Nagaon Town. Weekly marketing (Bazaar) on Sunday is a traditional market with local products as are point of attraction. The inhabitants are mostly Assamese and Bengali people, with some percentage of Christians and adivasi villagers around the tea gardens. Road condition is quite bad for small cars but good for HUV segment cars to reach at the site. People must arrange their food along with or can cook at site for fresh food. Perfect place for a refreshment in weekends.

The ideal time to visit Champawati Waterfall is between October and March, when the weather is cool and the water flow is both strong and scenic. Monsoon months are not recommended due to slippery paths and strong currents.
