These candidates are spread across 126 constituencies, with varying levels of competition in different regions. Some constituencies have a relatively smaller number of candidates, while others are witnessing highly competitive, multi-cornered contests.
The highest number of contestants has been recorded in the 122-Algapur-Katlicherra and 124-Karimganj South constituencies, where 15 candidates are contesting in each seat. These constituencies, located in the Barak Valley region, are among the most competitive in the state for this election cycle.

In terms of party participation, the BJP-led North East Democratic Alliance and the Congress-led Assam Sanmilito Morcha have fielded a similar number of candidates, with 127 and 128 candidates respectively, including friendly contests. Asset data also shows variations among parties, with a high percentage of candidates from major parties declaring assets above Rs 1 crore. At the individual level, Rahul Roy is the richest candidate with assets of Rs 261 crore, while some candidates at the lower end have declared minimal or even zero assets.
