Silikha (শিলিখা), also known as Haritaki or Chebulic Myrobalan, is scientifically referred to as Terminalia chebula and popularly known as Haritaki, a medicinal fruit widely used in Assam for its numerous health benefits. In Assamese traditional medicine and Ayurveda, Silikha is valued for its ability to improve digestion, boost immunity, cleanse toxins, and promote overall wellness.

It is often dried and used in herbal preparations, including Triphala. The fruit has a slightly bitter taste and is considered a “healing herb” that balances the body’s internal systems.
