The biggest highlight of the night was the phenomenal success of Bidurbhai, directed by Suvrat Kakoti. The film emerged as the highest award winner, clinching nine trophies and setting a new benchmark in Assamese cinema.

Suvrat Kakoti personally secured six major honours, including:

  • Best Editor

  • Best Screenplay

  • Best Story

  • Best Dialogue

Heartfelt Tribute to Zubeen Garg

One of the most emotional moments of the ceremony was the posthumous tribute to legendary singer and cultural icon Zubeen Garg.

He was honoured with:

  • Lifetime Achievement Award

  • Best Playback Singer (Male) for Agoli Anubhabe from Rudra

  • Special Recognition Award for his contribution to Roi Roi Binale

Filmfare Editor-in-Chief Jitesh Pillaai personally visited Zubeen Garg's residence to present the awards ahead of the main ceremony. The awards were received by his wife Garima Saikia Garg in the presence of his father Kapil Thakur, making it a deeply emotional tribute to his lasting legacy in Assamese music and cinema.
