What Is The Assam Gaurav Award?
The Assam Gaurav Award is one of the three major civilian awards introduced by the Government of Assam to recognize individuals for their outstanding contributions in various fields. Alongside the Assam Baibhav Award (the highest honor) and the Assam Saurav Award, this award forms part of Assam’s new civilian award structure launched in 2021.
This award is presented to fifteen individuals annually, recognizing their outstanding contributions to Assam. The number of awards can vary each year. Monetary Reward: ₹3,00,000 (3 lakh) Similar honorary privileges as Assam Saurav awardees.
