What Is Bir Raghav Moran Divas?
Bir Raghav Moran Divas is a commemorative day observed in Assam to honor the courage, leadership, and contributions of Bir Raghav Moran, a legendary figure of the Moran community. He is remembered for his role in protecting the cultural identity and social unity of his people during challenging times in Assam’s history.
The Assam Cabinet has approved a Restricted Holiday (RH) for the State Government employees to commemorate 'Bir Raghav Moran Divas,' recognising the contributions of Bir Raghav Moran to the Moran community. To celebrate his ideals and bravery, Govt of Assam has decided to declare November 19 as a Restricted Holiday in the State.
