How Many Awards Did The Assamese Film Halodhia Choraye Baodhan Khai Win?

The Assamese film “Halodhia Choraye Baodhan Khai” (The Catastrophe), directed by Jahnu Barua and released in 1987, won multiple prestigious awards at both national and international levels. The film won a total of 7 awards. At the 35th National Film Awards, it bagged the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in 1988.

It also won multiple awards at the Locarno International Film Festival in 1988, including the Silver Leopard, Best Actor award for Indra Bania, the Citizens' Prize, and the World Ecumenical Award. Additionally, the film received the Best Film award at the Amien Film Festival and the Best of Asia award at the Tokyo Film Festival.
