When Did The First Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Visit Assam To Meet Srimanta Sankardev?

Historical accounts suggest that Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Sikh Guru, visited Assam during his fourth Udasi (spiritual journey) in the early 16th century, around 1505–1508 CE. It is believed that during this journey, he met Srimanta Sankardev, the great Vaishnav saint and cultural reformer of Assam.

This meeting is remembered as a significant moment of spiritual exchange between two great reformers who shared a common vision of devotion to one God, rejection of social evils, and promotion of harmony among communities. While detailed records of their conversation are scarce, both saints are revered for their contributions to spiritual awakening and social reform in India.
