Who Was The Leonardo Da Vinci Of Assam?

The title of the "Leonardo da Vinci of Assam" is rightly given to Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha, one of the greatest cultural icons in the history of Assam. Born in 1909, Bishnu Rabha was a polymath — a master in multiple disciplines including music, painting, dance, acting, writing, poetry, film direction, and political activism.

He was affectionately called "Kalaguru" (Master of the Arts) by the people of Assam for his extraordinary artistic talent and revolutionary spirit. Much like Leonardo da Vinci, Bishnu Rabha used his creative genius to inspire change, spark social awareness, and celebrate the essence of humanity through art.
