The Guwahati Planetarium, located on MG Road in the heart of Guwahati city, is the only astronomical center of its kind in the entire Northeastern region of India. Established in 1994, the Guwahati Planetarium is managed by the Science and Technology Department of the Government of Assam. The facility is equipped with advanced projection systems, including a state-of-the-art hybrid digital planetarium setup that brings the universe alive on a dome-shaped screen.
Daily Sky Shows: High-definition digital shows in Assamese, Hindi, and English take visitors on thrilling journeys through space, planets, stars, black holes, galaxies, and cosmic events.
Telescope Viewing: Special arrangements are made for solar and night sky observations, especially during eclipses and astronomical phenomena.
