What Is Lakhpati Baideo In Assam?
The Lakhpati Baideo is a flagship women empowerment and livelihood scheme launched by the Government of Assam. The program aims to transform the economic status of rural women by encouraging them to become entrepreneurs and earn sustainable livelihoods.
This was launched under the Chief Minister's Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan (Chief Minister's Women Entrepreneurship Campaign) to empower women entrepreneurs. The scheme provides women with financial assistance, beginning with an initial installment of ₹10,000, to help them establish or grow their businesses and achieve financial independence. Under this initiative, women will receive 10,000 rupees in the first year, rupees 25,000 in the second year, and rupees 50,000 in the third year based on their business success.
