When Is Lachit Divas Celebrated?

Lachit Divas is celebrated annually on 24th November to commemorate the birth anniversary of Lachit Borphukan, the legendary general of the Ahom Kingdom in Assam. He is best remembered for his unmatched leadership in the Battle of Saraighat (1671), where he valiantly defended Assam against the Mughal invasion.
