Where Did Ahom King Chaolung Sukapha First Stay While Entering Assam?

Ahom King Chaolung Sukapha first stayed at a place called Habung after entering Assam in 1228 AD.

Located in present-day Dhemaji and Lakhimpur districts of Assam, Habung was a fertile land near the Brahmaputra River. Sukapha chose this region due to its agricultural potential and friendly local tribes. It became his initial settlement, where he laid the foundation of Ahom rule before later shifting his capital to Charaideo.
